I have a question,

after a seed has germinated (indoors), is it okay to keep the lights on 24/7? (or 24/0 i think?, just learning the terms n shit), if not how long should the lights be left over the seedlings?..

Help appreciated.

Yeah some prefer 24 hours of light and some 18. I guess its preference, and if you can afford to have your light on for 24 hours a day.

Also, no babysitter. My wife & I are the only two who know whats up & I intend to keep it that way.....better safe than sorry!!

I have some questions.

Is it possible to grow from the seeds I get from my baggys when I buy from my dealer?

What's the cheapest light but efficient I could use so my powerbill wont sky rocket.

What's so important about PH? What are the effects?

How many times would I water a day and how much should I use?

Do I need CO2? What are some alternatives to that source?

What's the perfect room temperature and humidity?

How can I speed up the growing process? Instead of waiting 4 months from start to finish, because i'm looking for a big yield, but if I get my seeds for free, then it doesn't matter if I get below 400 grams.

How to speed up flowering process?

How do I know when it's starting to flower?

When it starts to flower, what should my light duration period be? Watering times? etc etc

Thats all for now. THANKS

How many times would I water a day and how much should I use? Depends on the plant, you have to figure out your own watering schedule usually. I do once every 2-3 days

Instead of waiting 4 months from start to finish, because i'm looking for a big yield, but if I get my seeds for free, then it doesn't matter if I get below 400 grams. Either start on a 12/12 (small yield) or use Fertilizer. Fertilizer will play a big part in speed of growth

How do I know when it's starting to flower? If you are growing indoors, you control when it starts to flower. Balls or pistils will appear at the nodes of your plant when it begins to flower.

When it starts to flower, what should my light duration period be? Watering times? etc etc
12/12 Lighting

Thats all for now. THANKS

Its great to ask questions,
but you can find most of your answeres in the guides provided on the forum.

do some research chap.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!
Abotu 1/2 the tips of my leaves are burnt. Not alot, just the very very tips.
All the way from the bottom, to the top.
I have 4 23 Watt CFL 6500K on them. Two on top (4 inches away), and two on the side (4 inches away). I am only using 92 Watts, and they are more then perfect length away from the plant. My new leave sets keep on coming out with burned tips.
heeelllpppp

yes, personal pref, 24/0 will give u a shorter more compact plant w/ close nodes, & 18/6 will have more space between nodes & will stretch more than on 24/0.

u can jar them & freeze them until u get back, or dry them for what ever time u have & jar em & freeze em. i think as long as they are frozen they wont mold, then when u get home start the cure.

I've never heard of this, I've asked several people, and most say that there's no difference in growth between the two lighting schedules. In the book "Closet Cultivator" by Ed Rosenthal, he states that 18/6 will produce more bud, due to MJ wanting a "rest" period. I think I'm going to try 24/0 my next time around.

1. yes
2. cfl's, flouros, or LED's
3. ph effects the plants ability to uptake & use nutes & ferts, if its not right the plant wont get the propper nutrients
4. water when the top 2" of soil gets dry, & water till 1/3rd runs out the drains.
5. no u dont need co2, google diy co2, or homemade co2.
6. temps need to be 75-78 (lights on), & 10 degrees lower w/ lights off. veg RH - 60%, flower RH 40%- & lower near hasrvest
7. useing more light, nutes & co2 will increase growth rate.
8. u cant speed up flowering time, but u can finish faster if u use a 10/14 instead of 12/12 for the last 2wks
9. u start the flowering by switching the lights to 12/12, & after a few days to a wk youll see white hairs (female), or balls (male). & water when it needs water

if the new growth is coming out like that, it could be a nute or ph issue

mj plants dont rest or sleep, unless they are flowering. go ask in indoor growing, "whats better 24/0 vs 18/6" & see what they say.

hey jcj, would 18/6 technically be better for for filling a scrog screen?

Good news for me too, finally picked up a 400w hps for 60 shipped, maybe 50 depending on the shipping.
Based on what you know, can you give me rough dimensions of a good size 400 cab? I will be building one from scratch out of 5/8" veneer plyood probaly oak so i want to get it right the first time

You should have a PH tester(two ways to test is best if one fails),when you water(reg interval)test the runoff PH and if its out of range you will need to flush to adj. the PH.Are you sure your soil doesent have time released ferts???
