I've asked this before but somehow dont think I know for sure.

What happens when you take cuttings from a flowering plant? lets say Its done flowering, I'm about to harvest, can I take cuttings at that time? Does it have any negative consequences?

Another stupid question...

After watching a bunch of guerilla grow videos...these guys that have these gigantic gardens, you never see them go through the sexing and removing the males. How do they end up with unpollinated buds? I have to be missing something.

They probaly plant clones
or
female seeds
or
they get seeded bud to sell which i doubt, so option one or 2 id say

Now a question of my own:

I have this nice female plant about 2 months from seed The plant is 10 inches tall and there is 10 sets of flowers forming plus the top. I used 12/12 the whole time and am barely watering the thing maybe once every week. I am using weak lighting (20w shoplight in corner over pot). I am trying to grow this really slowly and get tight spacing on flowers until i get my 400hps. Seems like it keeps growing too, last week there were only 8 sets of flowers. the flowers are just small and already have resin on the leaves.
So my question is, will this plant keep up the tight slow growth until i can finish it with the hps?

Anyway, I have some more questions for you. I found out that all my seeds are auto flowering, now I have searched the forum and a lot of people don't really know about these types. I have read in these forums that they have no advantages over non auto flowering plants. My plants already have bud locations and many white hairs without ever changing it to 12/12. My question is, should I change the light cycle to 24/7 or leave it at 18/6 or maybe 12/12? Also do you know of any disadvantages for this type? I searched on Google but sites only mention the "good" qualities of auto flowering. If they auto flower on their own would this cut down time from the harvest date? auto flowering strains dont need their light cycle changed, @ least thats what they say, can be grown on a 24/0, 18/6 or 12/12. those seeds say to grow w/ a 20/4 light cycle, the only disadvantage i can think of is the yeild & potency. the harvest time will be the same (flowering), but your total grow time would be shorter, unless u started from 12/12 or clone. yes u can take clones, just do it b4 they start to flower. these are mixed auto flowering seeds, You might be growing an Automatic AK47 x Automatic White Russian or an Automatic Lemon Skunk x Automatic Blueberry. On the other hand, you could also be growing pure Automatic Hindu Kush

u can start them on 12/12 until they show sex, then reveg the females, or take clones & sex them, then youll know which ones are fem, & male, or u can take a black plastic light proof bag & put one over a branch of each plant on a 12/12 cycle, & that branch will sex. poly plastic is easy to hang w/ a staple gun or nails.

im not 100%, but i dont think it will live, if u want to save a plant that has been harvested, do some research on regeneration. http://www.weedfarmer.com/growing_gu...generation.php

they are either removing the males, starting w/ clones or fem seeds, or they end up w/ seeded bud.

the plant will continue to grow until shes done flowering, unless there is no light, etc for something to kill it

Thanks! So the yield would be smaller and the potency would be weaker...bummer. I guess I will start giving them nutes now. For my next grow I am going to do normal white widow. Would I still be able to take clones if LST'd?

You can do anything you want to a WW and still clone it.

yes, & the potency isnt much lower than others, look at the strain list i gave u & look em up to see thc %.

a plant can double or triple in size once 12/12 is started, so @ about 1.5ft. u could also top or fim the plant to keep is short. useing fert & nute does both, the potency is mostly genitic, but nutes & stuff can help u get the most out of the plant, & sometimes a little more. u can harvest when 75-85% of hairs turn red, or go by this chart - (youll need a magnifing glass 10x or better)

& this if u cant get a mag glass
