When pre-flowers do show will they be on the top,bottom or everywhere and anywhere?

When someone refers to the number of node pairs is that the number of stipule pairs which in time will produce (hopefully) pistil pairs? I now have 4 on a 3" plant 24 days old.Is this normal for T5s and would an HID
make a big dif. and about how much?

they can start anywhere where buds form, around the nodes mostly

nodes are where the fan leaves & lateral branches grow off the main stem, & an hid puts out more lumens than a t5, so in therory the hid will be better, more light = faster growth.

I am growing ONE plant indoors and I am wondering exactly what I need for lighting.

If I am growing with CFLS,
how many do I need and what wattage?

If I am growing with MH,
how many do I need and what wattage?

If I am growing with HPS<
how many do I need and what wattage?

the rule of thumb is 50-100w or 3500-5000 lumens per plant.
cfls, youll need 1 105-150w full spectrum, or several 42w (6500k for veg, & 2700k for flower)
MH, u need just 1, a 175w will do. for veg
HPS, u need just 1, a 150-250w will do. for flowering
