short is good, its not stretching. as it gets older it will get taller & less bushy. short bushy plant will give u tighter & dencer buds. look at mine its 22 day old & 2-3" tall, but bushy. if u want the lateral (side branches) to grow more, top or fim the plant.

Added a bucket of water and turn the air syst. down at night to get it 50%,but will still get a humidifier to keep it at 70% and a temp reg that controls my vent syst.Remember this is my 80 sq. ft veg. room only,still workin on the 1000sq. ft bloom room and its A/C, dehumidifier and all.

Its only going to be a mother plant next to 3 other strains.

Yeah thats what oci was telling me to and that makes more sense. So I am assuming that its easier for a plant to recover from lack of food rather than too much. Is that correct?

What should I be keeping an eye out for if I am looking for the plant to tell me when to feed?

well u dont want either, a good healthy plant should be nice deep green w/ green stems that are bendable not still like wood, just look for any changes in the plant, color change will be most prolific, to yellow. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688

Well on 2 of my White Russians(the oldest two), they had a yellow first set of true leaves. Eventually I pinched them off. Do you think they were showing a Nitrogen deficiency? I have pics in my grow journal.
