Hydro Scrog?!?!

Hey everyone,

For a while now I have been planning what will be my first grow in the fall. I was pretty set on doing a soil grow first, but recently I've been thinking about going hydro. Only thing is all the research I've been doing mainly applies to soil growing. I wanted to try a SCROG grow in a closet with anywhere from 2-5 plants. So my question is, can you pull off a successful hydro scrog grow in a closet? Could someone send me a link to a good guide or journal that could help me out? Thanks, it will be very appreciated!

hydro grows can be tricky for a first timer. i admire your guts. if you have all the tools you need for a hydro grow and some willing experienced friends (people here) to help you, you should be o.k. as far as doing a hydro scrog, no big thang! it makes no diff. if you're in dirt or cubes or coco. just make sure you start out with all females. you don't want to have to remove plants from the screen area once it's in place. look at greenmonsters thread about scroggin. he usually always used bubblers (hydro) when he grew.

theres a big difference soil you get lots of used dirt and hydro its clean. And plus me growing soil and my friends growing dro. They get 2 oz a plant, well I get maybe 1 oz dirt and hydro grows faster and buds gett fatter. Do bubble bucket, with 1 plant and scrog it.

Yeah, I'm thinking about buying a complete hydro kit of some kind. Does anyone reccomend a specific brand or type they find easy to use? I was looking at the Waterfarm unit, but I dont know. I need to do some more research so if anyone has any links of their hydro grows/scrog I would love read them. Any and all help is appreciated, I've just spent a month atleast researching soil growing, but really dont understand how a hydro system works. Thanks.

try a d.i.y dwc tub or bucket, rubbermaid tubs in 10, 20, 30gal.........
1/4 & 1/2 air tubing , air pump , water pump , medium( rockwoll & hydroton )
net pots , nutrients , timers , ph meter , and lots of research
