hey guys i am gonna try and do my first grow. im gonna put it in my closet and i was wondering how bad does it actually smell? to the point where you can be outside the room and smell it? because i have roommates and i dont want them finding it. and i am only gonna do 1 or 2 plants how much light i need for that. and i start it off at 24 hours a day correct.

Cant really give you an answer cause it all depends on what you grow...Some strains have been known to not smell that much at all and others have been known to skunk up a block -but a carbon scrubber will take the smell away. I'd recommend a 400 watt HID setup ...you need a metal hilide for vegatative and a high pressure sodium for flowering. Got to HTGsupply and look around.As for your roomante finding them.......well you are gonna notice a differance on your electric bill and I personally wouldnt grow with a roomate but thats all on you.

if you dont have the money for A MH & HPS you can go with the HPS all the way through, or buy some CFL's and then use the HPS, or get a conversion bulb so you can work with HPS & MH, got a few options here. due to room mates and you not wanting them to find out, i think MH & HPS would give off way too much light to not be noticed, id go with CFL's.

ok i just germinated them can some one please give me a general light cylce and how long for each thanks.

k 18/6 for veg 18 on 6 off should use MH or daylight color cfl and should stay in this period for 4 weeks then switch to 12/12 and use soft white cfls or a hps
