proper plant spacing

Hello! Im just starting out, and in all my research i can't find how far apart the plants need to be. i am interested in an areoponic system, and the limitations in space appear to be in the top of the plants and not the roots. I have limited space (2x6 closet) and I'm trying to make the most of it. my lighting is a 1000w mh for veg growth and a 1000w hps changed in for flowering...plus a few fluorescents on the sides for good measure.
any tips would be greatly apreaciated.

Thanks!!
