Need a fan to strengthen stems if LST?

Do I need a fan to strengthen my stems if I am going to be LSTing? I want to have weak stems as to not break them when wiring them down dont I? What kind of problems do weak stems pose? I have two seedlings about a week old. I have a good setup right now and all seems well. I was planning on getting a fan but for now I put them outside during the day and the wind should be helping my no fan problem. So, if I LST them I should probably skip the fan. At least until they are old enough to get the first tie down.

Im new to growing and im growing outside too. I plan on LSTing too and i would deffinetly put a fan on them even if you put them outside during the day. you dont want to be snapping the stems of your beautiful babies.

If your LSTing i would definitely put a fan on them cause you should be producing alot more bud and a bend in the pant will be holding a lot of wieght on it so it needs to be as strong as possible so it doesnt snap under the wieght when the buds come out. look at the LSTing forum its got alot of great info to share.

you are worrying over nothing, your doing a lst,,, so yous stems are going to be thick,,, '' anyhow'' not weak,

a fan yes, you allways need good circulation. and a slight wiggle in the plant constantly....... does strenghten the stems,, so yes you are right in that point,,,,, but 4 a lst,,, your stalk is going to be so thick,, youll add dirt to the pot, because at the base of the stalk, youll see a small root formation..

thats a ways to go in your grow,,,, but all is cool,,, just enough breeze to wiggle the plant, youll ,be fine!!!!
