Hey man, great guide but a couple of questions.

Once I see the first leaves growing up, I will obivioulsy have to move them to a bigger pot. If I am using a styrofoam cup for the sprouts, and plan on growing outdoor, what is the best way to do this?

Cheers,
BB

LoveTheBlaze- you need to flower before you know its sex
BB- What are the outside conditions and is it a good time to plant outdoors?

egh youre going to make me convert to F, ok lets see , 55 F is a bit chilly but it will survive none the less. 70 Is about perfect, anyhow if you want to transplant, im guessing its a small cup, wait untill the roots are almost coming out of the cup. Do not wait much longer though as it will cramp the roots and they will choke themselves. Take them outside, dig em a hole, get some decent soil, preferably without any time release ferts than can burn them up.

Under normal circumstances I would say transplant them into a larger pot and then transplant them outside but as its already past the planting date I would just go straight to outdoors (and im thinking you dont have any lighting?), hopefully they will be 6+ inches by the time you transplant them for the first time, and be careful.

Fill your pot with your soil, water it well, and set it aside to drain. Do this before you start messing with your seeds. Once the pot has drained 10-15 minutes, take a pen, a screwdriver.... anything small and pointed, and make a slight depression in the soil in the middle of the pot. Your seeds want to be planted only about 1 inch deep.... no more. Transfer the germinated seed into the hole you made very carefully... this is the moment you are most liable to damage your sprout. Use careful fingers, or a tiny spoon to move it... do not squish or roll it around... just move that baby. It will be beneficial if the root tip lands pointing down, but I hear that moving them around too much is more dangerous than letting the tip point sideways. Just be careful... this is not a step to do when you are stoned . Cover the seed with a bit of loose soil, and stop. Never pour water on a planted seed.... this is why we watered and drained the pot first thing- the soil should already be wet enough. Cover the pot with something to keep moisture in..such as baggies as shown down below. You are trying to keep the dampness in, as you will not be watering an unsprouted planted seed. It is fine the way it is You are trying to keep the dampness in, as you will not be watering an unsprouted planted seed. It is fine the way it is. Set your pot your growroom, hopefully already set up!. Leave it alone. While you are waiting, there is a lot going on. Cannabis sends out a taproot first... your little root tip is growing and getting settled in before it allows the sprout to break ground. Check your pots a couple of times a day, but do not water them, and do not poke them... leave them alone!

You cant just make slits they need to be holes, shouldn't be too difficult. If the water is just sitting on top it means that either your soil is not aerated enough, and is too compact or sort of muddyish, or the holes are too small.
If you use, say a soldjering(sp?) iron to put holes in the bottom that would be about perfect size maybe slightly bigger

Hey while I love answering all your questions, lets try to keep this post to do with questions involving germination and the process, so the information can be found easily for others who want it, or I have to just close it. thanks.

Ok, I understand everything you posted, but I need more info on transplanting it from the cup to something bigger and how I do it. I also need to know how to clone the plants...
