Wasting Seeds - A Valuable (costly) Lesson!!

Well, I thought I'd post this on here as a word of warning to others...

I've just purchased some new seeds but had a disaster! I went to the guys at Alibongo (great place!) and bought; Purple Star, Hollands Hope, Durban Poison and Voodoo.

Simon put them in little bags, labelled them and told me to "look after them" so I popped them in my wallet (just like I did with the last ones I bought!).

On getting back home I wanted to inspect my new purchase and with great excitement extracted them from my wallet, only to find I'd crushed three of the four seeds - AAAARGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! What a f#ckin' muppet!!!!!!!!!!!!!



The cases were split but the insides didn't look too damaged. I was heartbroken (not least that I bought feminsed and these four cost me £30+!!! ($55))

I've put them in the rockwool starter cubes - decided to give this method of germination a go - and prayed like I have never before!!! Today it looks like two of them are going to make it; the Voodoo and Purple Star! If the others don't germ I'm going back to buy some replacements!

Well, I've learned a valuable and costly lesson; these babies are fragile - next time I'll pop them in a film canister or something!! Anyhow, as they are planned for an outdoor grow I'll probably start a new Grow Journal later this week.

If you buy seeds look after them - don't do what I did!!!

You should take pics of the crushed seed that germinated and do a grow log on it.

Yeah man, don't treat the seeds like condoms . Next time just stick them in a padded bag or plastic container, and pocket them.

So, one seed only has made it (Voodoo) but....

I've been back to the store and bought another Hollands Hope and a Durban Poison.

I'm soaking them right now and will be plant them in small rockwool cubes later today.

I also picked up some Bio Bizz; Grow and Flower.

The only involvement I have with that dirty business these days is making sure my plants turn out the be girls not boys!!!
