HELP! Planning my first grow this weekend!

Hi, i am planning my first grow this weekend and i was looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I want to grow Lowrider #2 and i was woundering how big of a grow box would i need to make for 5-6 plants. Also i am wanting to use CFL's for lighting because i have a VERY low budget and i was woundering how many 23w(= to 120w), 1500 lumen cfl bulbs i would need(I already have 2 and my budget is about £20). I chose Lowrider#2 because i wanted an autoflowering hardy(ish) plant to start off with. Does anyone know approx.% of males per 10 seeds? Is it high? Is lowrider#2 a good smoke? I am gonna grow in a growbox in my shed, it will be well insulated and the cfl's give off a small amount of heat so will the plants survive? The temp outside is about 9-10 degres C atm but i suspect it will be conciderably warmer in the growbox?!? I will have a small fan in the box aswell for air circulation, do i need much ventalation or can i just cut out some sections and replace with mesh?

Hey man.
Lowryder is not a high yielding strain and it stays rather small. You could probably limit each plant to about one square foot of space. So, 5-6 plants could require 5-6 square feet of space. Then for flower figure a bare minimum of 30 watts per square foot; 50 watts/sq ft. would be better. That calculates to around 250 watts of CFL's for 5 plants. Also figure a 50/50 ratio of males to females for any non-feminized strain. The temp in the grow box must be held between about 15 degrees c and 26 degrees c. Otherewise growth will be slowed out of those ranges.

Thanks mate. I think i'll probs just grow 2 or 3 to start then if i get a good reasult i'll plant the rest outside in summer to do their thing and grow sum "real" good strains.
I just wanted to grow Lowrider first because i wanted an easy, small strain to start and way i see it if i only get an ounce from all three i'll be happy 'coz still be saving myself about £120 and i'll kno its safe.
