Flowering Early?

So the Marijuana Grow Bible says you can't flower until you see pre-flowers pop up, but I've heard of a lot of people on here flowering when their plants are still small.

THing is, I just built a veg box, so I can have plants in either flowering or veg. I have a bagseed grow that I started, and an Aurora Indica And Californian Skunk Grow about 3 weeks in-- and I'd like to get some of the bagseed plants flowering (I have no where to get weed up here)

Here is one of my bigger plants. I tape measured the stalk, if I wasn't LSTing it, it would be about 10 bushy inches tall (tight internode spacing)

I know I'll get a small yield, but can I flower now?

yes you can. remember, you make "all" the decisions for the plants. they do what you want them to do.... flowering early will result in smaller yields, but can be done...

What kind of lights you got? the plant is looking good, throw that into 12 on 12 off light cycle and it will immediately start to go into flower ( called early sexing). There is also a theory called Sea Of Green which basicly says if you get a bunch of plants and veg for about 2-4 weeks then flower and put new ones into veg immediately, you get more yeild than if you had raised them to full growth and then flowered : ) have fun

P.S. when in flower cycle dont go back to veg cycle or let ANY light in when its in the dark 12 hours or you will get a hermaphrodite with male and female parts. If you have a male in the flower box and there is a female, immediately kill the male because when a female makes seeds, the bud is less potent.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm growing under 8, 4' florescrent tubes (a mix of different spectrums)

I have a HPS fixture and bulb on the way for my flowering area. (my veg box is lightproof, and so is the room, so I hope not to get any hermies.)

You don't have to wait for pre-flowers, but ideally you should wait until alternating nodes, which is a signal that the plant is ready for sexual maturity.

Yeah i suggest you jsut flower now, also throw in some CFLs in the veg box for a more intense light, i used 8 fluoro tubes before and I supplemented them with CFLs and it helped thicken up my plants.

You are gonna get soem nice bud from that plant especially with a hps : )
