Dry Ice?

After reading through the forums about C02 methods I've decided to use dry ice because I have a local distributor and it's cheap. I was wondering if anyone knows how much dry ice to use a day for a 3x3.5 closet setup so the plants get appropriate levels of C02, there will only be 4-5 plants. In the guide it said some growers put dry ice above their light so it showers the plants, this is very possible for me to do but in anyone's opinion is this safe or need I not worry.

Also is 600w HPS too much for this area because I'm debating on 400w or 600w, I'm planning on it being air cooled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can never have too much light bro. the only time thats possible is if the room gets over heated from the amount of lamps in there or you burn the tops of your plants because you put an HPS or MH too close to the tops. the 600 will work niiiiiiiice

I'm getting an air cooled unit and I don't have to worry about smell, should I put additional exausts or will the air cooled reflector with the fans and such keep it cool enough?

if your reflector is going to be cooled you are good to go. just be sure to route the exhaust outside of your room of course.

that with an oscillating fan to blow on your plants and you are good to go.

Thats what I thought, I just wanted to make sure.

Last questions, for the day that is.

I have a grow space of 80cu ft which needs 0.12cu ft of C02 to reach 1500ppm. Is 0.5cu ft of c02 too much if I need 0.12cu ft? How much C02 is too much?

How about putting it over the light so it showers the plants? Is that safe? I will be using an enclosed air cooled system so it will be good right?

Don't want it to get too merry in there though. 2000ppm CO2 will retard growth. Also be carefull if you haven't worked out all the calculations and the level is too high you don't want to be walking into a room full of CO2.

I agree with this caution, be careful and get a meter. over 5000 ppm is dangerous to humans.
