Max grow

I'm thinking about investing into either a house or an apartment for purely growing purposes and although il'd like to fill every square inch with beautiful plants i know that with the government regulating elctricty that just isnt possible. So what I'm asking is how many watts can i have in say 1 bedroom apartment with nothin else in it b4 the pigs catch on... also what is the best way to get rid of the smell

Maybe with questions like those, would you consider starting off a little slower... Like a closet grow or something?

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, really. But if you want to devote an entire room to indoor horticulture, you should read up on wiring, wattage, etc... Serious as a heart attack, man - burning down a house by overloading its wiring, only for the fire-fighters to find a bunch of HID reflectors among the ashes...

Dude, don't be THAT guy.

As for the aroma, well... heh. I'm just starting but, dang, was I surprised. When they call it a skunk variety, it's not because it kind of smells a little when you get up close and inhale deeply. They call it that because it smells like a skunk lives in your closet. Really.

Slow down. Read up. Plan small. Enjoy your new hobby. No need to open a factory yet.

I'd recommend Jorge Cervantes' book "Marijuana Horticulture." I read that cover to cover before I ever touched a seed and I still look stuff up in it when I'm confused or lost.

greenade is tryin to shut down the block on this one.

if youre gonna use a house JUST for growing you can run a good number of HIDs. And even if you first move in just turn em all on so the electric company thinks thats how much electricity u actually use. and they dont really care its just more money from them. cops dont have probable cause for just an electric bill. just make sure windows are secured and you can either use an ozone generator or a carbon filter in the duct of your ventilation to take care of the smell. or both. youll be fine

good luck on your grow

i would say youre main problem would be security. make sure you have a really good security system on the house. maybe one that calls you when its tripped or something. or maybe a video camera or two that stream to your house, if youre close enough. have some good locks on the doors too. especially to your grow room.

what strains are u gonna grow?

Hey, man, I wasn't trying to harsh your mellow, seriously.

But by the nature of questions you were asking, it sounded like, well... maybe you were just getting into it. Seriously, though... odor control questions? That's the kind of amateur questions guys like ME ask. The kind of questions that are asked in the "Absolute Beginners" part of the forum. Lawd knows, I ain't so experienced I can say I got THREE whole grows under my belt... then again, that's why I'm in the "Absolute Beginners" part of the forum. Reading stickies on odor control. And power consumption.

Please understand my error and forgive my attempt to be helpful.

I apologize profusely, I retreat from the room, bowing at appropriate moments, and I concede that you are, in fact, the grand poobah of all things horticultural.

Good luck on your endeavor. Peace, friend. May the spider mites never sully your harvest.

My wife wouldn't let me. But I'd buy his grass. If it was quality.
