Question about starting......

I bought some Peat pots from a local sotre for bout 80 cents. What i was wondering is if these are ok to start a sprout of in and if these are the cups that the roots of your plants can break through the peat pot? I was wondering because i dont feel very safe repotting. Just because i don't wanna kill my plants. Thank you guys so much.

I think they are the ones that the plants grow through, but not completely sure.
When I used to be paranoid about transplanting, I would just use the plastic pots and cut them open when I tranplanted.

They are, but i found they dont really work to well with the watering cycle, as the soil drys up and so does the peat pot, making it harder for the root to break through while the pots dry.
