Indoor newbie W/ 400 W MH + 50W grow bulb & 100W grow bulb
Ok I have grown outside but I set up an indoor room and my plant will be 1 month on the 26th but looks realy scrawny??
I was useing Miricle grow potting soil but after reading a few posts I trashed it and transplanted to about a 50/50 medium mix of normal potting soil and vermiculite. The leaves (although small compared to others the same age as pics on this forum) Look so scrawny and small, and are now pointing it's leaf tips up?? Is it telling me "get me closer to the light"? it is within, i would guess 2 feet already give or take a few inches. Help me make her happy and full and healthy! Suggestions welcome, Tom

that is one month with a 400 watt mh. try germinating a few more seeds, if you can fit them in your grow room.

the 26th will be 1 month, but she's only been under the MH for a week.
I took out the cheap & useless 50 & 100 W grow bulbs (spotlights) and have now put in 2 30W CFL's (2000 lumen's ea.) with the 400W MH. I wish I had know not to use that miracle grow potting soil, that stuff is crap!! I think they put in some anti weeds crap in that stuff cause it kills instead of feeds! I had just planted some germinated Holland seeds 2 days before reading about the MG soil and in a panic, carefully removed them and replanted. 1 allready has come up in my baby plant cabinet. The other 5 looked like they had been poisoned, root sprouts were turning brown! Will have to see if they recover. STAY AWAY FROM miracle grow potting soil! JYD911  |
