Yellowing leaves(With Pics)...

Picture of Yellowing, with closeups on leaves.

This is my first grow, starting them under 4ft flouros(Cool White). Almost 2 weeks old. Using pH balanced Pro-Mix from Canadian Tire(just happens to be the exact soil that is mentioned in quite a few grow guides). I Thought tha the problem at first was just over watering, but I stopped watering until soil was dryish then watered... Didn't help much. Plant 1 is the worst out of all 16(all started from seed). The yellowing started just at first to be on the little roundish leaves that first sprouted but now it seems to be progressing up my babies about 60% of them have this problem... the ones in the pictures are the very worst. The leaves that are yellowing also have edges curling and wrinkling upwards(mostly upwards). They needed water today, so I used a very dilute 20-20-20 all purpose(with micronutirens including Ir, and Mg) fert in the water and did a folair feed in a mist bottle with the same fert mix, about 1/4 strong of what the fert directions said. Also some of the stems are red(It could just be the strain), but I'd thought that I should add just in case. In any case if what I did is corrrect, how long should they take to show some recovery?

Also the closet is well vented, with a constant exaust fan. Lights are on 24hr, should I throw on a timer to the lights and maybe put it on 18/6?

One more thing, on the top of the soil in some of the cups, is a green algee type of sludge, mostly on the premixed Fert in the soil(little white balls, I assume are fert).

Any feedback is greatly appriciated.... thanks.

The yellowing, especially on the plants I have pictured, started yellowing long before I fertalized... the impression I got was that it was a nitrogen/Mg deficency, so I gave them a very dilute fert solution.... If I do flush the soil how do I go about doing so?

Laso the top layer of leaves on all of the plants appear to be healthy, the yellowing seems to be traveling up the plants. what does this mean?

When I did foliar feed it was just a few mist form a mist bottle but I have yet to check them?

One more thing is that the fet I am using is only 0.05%mg, should I use a little epsom salt?

Ps- ty for the quick reply

Also could this be Clorine/floride Poisoning? I did use regular tap water to germinte, and water for the first week(I am now using distilled). How do I do a flush IF more of you guys recomend it? The reason I think it is not over fert is because they were yellowing before I fertalized. Please help! my Babies are hurtin!

Just checked them again.... all of them now seem to have wrinkling leaves.... The yellowing leaves have some browner spots on them now too... Maybe I did over fertalize..... how do I flush them?!?(If you guys think this is the problem)

I actually dont have a ph meter, as I dont get paid until tomorrow... High ph means the soil is going basic... I have heard many ppl talk about vinegar, so I may try.... I flushed them last night too, once the soil dries again I will water with dilute vinegar I guess... Any more Imput anyone?

The first impression I also got was nitrogen def. Did you flush the soil? Wait about 1 week of flushing then give it a medium dose of fert. w/ a higher amount of nitrogen.. Don't over do it though. I'll check my book today to see if it says anything different I can help you out with..

Don't give them ANY fertilizer until AT LEAST 3 weeks old. Only water when the soil is dry and inch down, and try to measure exactly how much water need to go to each plant. I also suggest trying to find some cheap MJ fertilizer on ebay or at your local hydro shop.

IMO, you definately have a nutrient toxicity. If you haven't or you think you didn't do it right, flush the plants with at least three times the amount of water as soil. i.e. 1 gal. of soil=3 gallons of water.

I had this exact same problem my first time growing with soil, and eventually I killed my plants. I went hydro and it's going much better.

Good luck with your grow, man. Keep us updated.

The little white pebbles in your soil are probably just perlite, but that doesn't mean there isn't nutrients in the soil already. What kind of soil are you using? Please don't say miracle grow!) You're plants are burning already, because they shouldn't have any ferts whatsoever until 2.5-3 weeks. Especially none in the soil. I know it's to late to undo the foliar weeding and the watering with nutes, but if your plants are still alive in a few days, you should probably get them into some different soil. Good luck man.
