soil question

I purchased a bag of miracle grow organic soil mix. It is 100% organic. I figured that I could use it for other things if this is no good. I bought it at home depot. It is meant for pots however, I bought perlite. I thought that maybe it just lacked perlite. should I just buy a bag of regular soil? I am also going to purchase the 3 pck of foxfarms organic nutrients. What should I do? I really don't want to mess up the soil or the grow. sorry im such a newb.

P.S. can anyone tell me were i can find a grow journal on misty. Its from nirvana seeds.

i use mg potting soil as well as nutes/what i do is take a whole bag of the MG and mix it with one bag of regular potting soil with no nutes,and add a half a bag of perlite.Mix this together well and then i use it as is through vegging until the 2nd week of flowering when i begin giving MG ferts at half strength 1 watering per week-ph adjusted of coarse-the main diff is i use the time release that everyone hates,i think it works for me because i dont use it at full strength i dilute it with the added soil and perlite-good luck with your grow
