question on hermies

hi. i'm too damn lazy to do a search, so i have a question. i've heard two differing theories about hermies. one is that hermies can produce nearly 100% female seeds, and another is that hermies are useless. which one is true?

and can two differing strains cross-breed?

and what percent of seeds is likely to be female? 50/50?

In theory a hermie will produce all female seeds, as no male traits are there.

Two different strains can cross breed.

%? hermie = 100%, cross bred = pot luck.
