internode growth question?

yea i was wondering my plant is like 2 feet tall and early into its life it produced a shit load of internode growth toward the bottom of the plant but none really up top, until now since it has been in flowering mode it has started making alot more internode growth up top. so i was wondering is this normal to have alot more at the bottom then at the top? if not then why has this happen? is it that since the bottom part of the plant is older then it therefore is more developed? thanks for any help...

Are you talking about the length between nodes? If so, internode length can be a factor of many things the first of which is strain. Generally, Indica’s have tight or short node spacing while Sativas have longer node length. The second thing that can affect node length is light. Not enough of it or the wrong spectrum can cause stretching or long internode length. Some say vegging with an HPS can cause long internode length/stretching. If your plant has uneven node lengths then my guess is when it was young it did not get enough light and now that the node length is tighter it is getting enough. Don't sweat this too much, it will only effect yield a little bit and there is not much you can do about it now except make sure it gets enough light to keep the node length as short as possible.

hey thanks for the reply...and i didn't mean the internode length i just meant internode growth altogether i just recently started getting internode up toward the top of the plant but a shit load on the bottom is this normal? thanks for any help...
