My First Grow (need some advice)

I am about to start growing and I set yp my grow box in my closet.
For my grow I already have:
-a spot to grow
-2 fluorescent lamps
-2 fans
-pots
-a 4 foot tall box (space inside box is 2x2 feet)
-a humidifier
-pH/moisture/amout of light measuring device

Thoes are my lights. I got them for free. Im thinking of buying some CFL lamps.


Also I still need my seeds. I can get some for free but if that doesn't work out I'd like to know what kind of seeds give you that good piff, big sticky buds, and are easy to grow?

What do you guys think of my grow box so far?

well id say your almost there ...really you should be using 2 x 36 w fluoro tubes for veg of seedlings

your box there is too big at the moment for seedlings ...i suggest get a smaller box " more stealthy dont you think !? " ...& light doesn't have to travel that far

the best soil you can find ...i recommend Klassmann-Deilmann
ph meter is good ..get yourself an EC meter , it will come in alot more handy

study up on using an EC meter ...here is probably the best info on the net about EC Meters & general feeding http://forum.cannabis-seeds.cc/index.php?showtopic=2000

what else good common sense ...remember cannabis is a mother nature plant & will always be ...so too grow good weed indoors ....you basically have to simulate outdoors

Hydroponics allow you to grow more and faster, so that should be the starting point for any serious cultivator.

yes true , but not ....the taste ,aroma & hi of hydro weed ..is nothing like growing in soil

to win a cannabis cup (preferably High Life Cup)..High Times is too commercial & Nirvana wants no part of it
the weed has to be from soil ....& i dont know too many newbies that can handle hydro for the first time

Amen! Hydro is not for the first timer or weak of heart. Although, I'd match my hydro grown bud with anyones for aroma, taste and smooth smoke. The shit stinks so good I'm kind of parinoid about carrying it.
