So i found a seed and decide to plant it?

I just bought a ounce from my connect and i happen to find 1 seed in it. So i decided to plant it, this is my first time doing so. From what i was told your suppose to place the seed in a small container with a wet paper towel. It's been about 2 weeks now and the seed still looks the same, i've been making sure the towel stays wet but the seed just doesnt wanna pop open. Am i doing something wrong here, could it just be a bad seed (if there's a such thing as bad seed)?

Yea, must be kept in a warm dark place, and did you pinch it first to make sure it wasnt dead? What color is it?

yes i kept it inside my room in my closet. The color of the seed was brown at first but now its starting to turn black. Im guessing that's not good? What do u mean by pinching it? The seed is hard so there's definately something in there.

Take it out and give it a wipe with a paper towel, the black may come off. Leave it somewhere warm and dry for a few days, then stick it in the bottom of the the fridge for a fortnight (in a dry container). Then try again.

What I mean by pinching it, is some seeds look good, but when you try and pinch them between your fingers, they can break, and those seeds usually wont germ even though they look ok.
I would folllow MU's advice and/or get new seeds and read the germination 420 sticky.
