Anywhere from 6"-18" depending on strain, stretch, age, container size and other factors. If one was so inclined, you could probably train the plant to grow lower or considerably higher than previously mentioned. However, one of the concepts of LST is the lowering of the canopy height.

It's really dependent on how you train her and how much you train her.

Just for your info. I had a Sativa that grew way taller than I expected. Even after topping it was over 36". Outgrowing her small flowering box.

I have three of her clones. I took them all at the same time. One I didn't do anything with and she is already 24", the other two I have used LST on and they are both only about 6" tall but they wrap around the pot and are showing several new colas. I will post follow up pictures tomorrow so you can see side by sides.

This keeps these plants far more manageable.

hi every1 i need abit of help,im growing in a 1.5m2 by 7ft tall grow tent with canna coco a and b witha 4oow growlight and my plant is abt 5 feet tall,just started flowering and im just woundering how much yeild i could rufly expect.thanx alot its got abt 18 stems all abt 5 ft thanx

I was just reminded that I didn't post the pictures I promised.

The first picture shows the mother. She was getting so tall I topped her and took two side branches for clones.

The second and third pictures show the clone that I decided would be the new mother. I wasn't going to mess with her but after learning that she would quickly be too tall I topped her at about half of her height and I'm trying to clone the top.

The last two pictures are of clones from the same mother that I have used LST to control the height. Notice that they have several "top" colas. Also note that these plants are about 1/4 the height of the topped clone and have much more vegetation.

If you look, you will also see that I have Super Cropped a few of the branches that were stretching.

I think this plant is almost 100% Sativa. In the wild she could grow to 15' so you can see the importance of LST and Super Cropping.

I gave LSTing a shot... had a seedling that was nothing but trouble from the get go. So, I figured why not try it on her.... still having her share of troubles, but happy with my first try.

Yesterday, since my topped plants have two nice tops growing now, I LST'd my plants in my bubbleponics system and everything is going great. Have good growth and no stress on the plants is looks like. I love mary jane...

So im starting my outdoor grow, in new to the game so do you still Top/Fim the plants while youre wrapping it around the pot? Or do you just let it grow naturally and stake it down when a new leaf set grows? I would think not but then again im completely new.
