How soon after fimming (during vege phase) til i can turn to 12/12? do i need to wait for some/any regrowth or give them any kind of recovery period? please excuse my ignorance im noob az!

So guys, what am I doing wrong? Whenever I attempt to fim the new set of leaves by cutting them back, they just seem to grow back how they would if I didn't cut it.

could some one please explain to me when one should top and when one should start lst.

does one top first then lst or what. At what number of leaf sets (nodes) does one top and what number does one lst?

This is a newbie question for sure but why do I get the impression that whatever happens after fimming or topping was going to happen anyway... Does it really create net new growths?

actually if done properly toping/fimming will change alot.by toping you force the plant to produce two main tops of nearly equal hight instead of one.Now i have seen a couple phenos over the years that will do that on thier own,but they are few and far between with a single toped plant with shorter branchs being the norm.Now fimming on the other hand if done properly will give you 4 tops of nearly the same hight.Now lets see the avrage unfimmed plant give you four tops of neerly even hight!!!Now haveing said all this I have never fimmed a plant in my life.but iv toped more than a few.

i just tried fimming my plant like 2 days ago and there is no new growth at the cut,
is there a possibility i cut 2 low?
could this be a big problem?
if i did make a bad cut could i just cut a little lower so i would be topping it?
