How-To : Fimming and Topping made Easy

So my plant doesn't have like a top cola growing out of the intersection of 2 branches....if that makes any sense..... I don't know where to cut it, just cut the top off?? They alternate more than branches straight across from each other. I topped my other plant quite successfully not long ago but it was clear where to cut it.

I tried Fimming a plant last week... And surprisingly, I've now got 6 new branches growing near the top! (It just looks that way. It's actually just 2 at each node, but near the top all the nodes are real close.) And on every node below that, there are 2 branches growing out, as well!

Now that's what I call Lucky!

Naw no worries.

If you make a mistake while Fimming, or don't do it right... All that will happen, is 2 branches will grow instead of 4.

I was worried about Fimming, before I tried it too. But I now use both topping and fimming, to get the plant in the shape I like.

Just try it, you'll have plenty of branches to experiment on. Worst thing you'll get, is 2 branches instead of 4. The node below will grow out, if you mess up.

Sometimes, you might even get 6 branches, if your lucky. (and have enough light)

And I fimm/top my plants every other week, which ends up with like 25 branches/colas by harvest.
