curing small amount

i have a small amount in jar. it is very dry. the friend i purchased it from said it would be a dry bud, but i would still like to cure it. how long should i leave my Q-tip in the jar for? then how long should i leave the bud in a dark place for after that. or is that a waste of time. thanks for yours!

cured is good but dry is just as bad as not cured. It has a dry smoke and will hurt your throat, if its only a bit probably will cure in 2-3 weeks.
