Beginner Questions from Long Time Smoker

I'm totally new to the game and have been doing a lot of reading. I'm moving out on my own soon and have decided to invest some coin ( not a crazy amount ) in a grow. Still on a bit of a budget.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I have decided to go with a stealth cab grow. I have a wall space of approximately 15 feet from wall to wall that can be used and I could come out from the wall about 4 feet and about 3 feet in height is what I was thinking. (15'X4'X3') I could go a foot higher if I need it. <o></o>

I want to be able to do everything within the cab so I was thinking of splitting the cab into different parts for the different stages of the grow.<o></o>

Now here are some questions that I have. Any help is greatly appreciated and I have 2 weeks of planning before I move in.<o></o>

1) I wanted to use the SCROG method in the cab after reading you can produce higher yields. Can this method be applied with a stealth cab?<o></o>
2) I heard one plant will require a 1’X1’ space in order to grow happily. Is this correct or does it need more? <o></o>
3) Assuming that it is a 1 sq/ft space needed to grow. So if I have 7’ in length X 4’ in width it equals 28 sq/ft of space is that 28 plants?<o></o>
4) Lighting is my issue. I see CFS, HPS, and Fluro’s posted everywhere. I know Fluro’s are obviously fluorescent, HPS are High Pressure Sodium lights but what are CFS? I also have an issue with how to wire everything up for power and was wondering if anyone had a guide for that (good at car wiring but home wiring is like Chinese to me) Another is what wattage lights and this blue, red and cool white that I have not been able to read up on or find very much info about.<o></o>
5) Also with my example above of 28 sq/ft of space how much wattage am I gonna need from the lights in order to sufficiently supply light to this whole space? I was reading something like 40 to 50 watts each plant is this correct?<o></o>
6) Soil or Hydroponic? I heard hydroponic requires a lot of attention as where soil is a little easier. Does the grow method affect the quality of the bud at all?<o></o>

These are my beginner questions. They will get more advanced as time goes by I know it. For now this is all I have.<o></o>
I will probably alter my design that I had in mind if the plant space is 1 sq/ft. <o></o>

I'm using a 400 mh/hps switchable digital air lensed/cooled hood
mh = best for veg growth
hps= best for flower growth

5) 100 watts a plant is optimal (75-100)

6) I'm doing a soil grow b/c it's more forgiving for my first grow. It will not effect the quality of the bud. I'm going to try aeroponics for my second ...
