I found it difficult to clone at first, they all died. Now I cut the clone at an angle, scrape the skin off the clone for about 2 cm, dip in rooting hormone powder.
Then put the powdered section in a hole made in compost in a pot, cover with a clear plastic bag secured by a rubber band. Place right next to a CFL on a 18/6 regime, keep the compost very moist by standing it in a saucer. I can get 3 by a single CFL.
After a week take off the plastic bag, if the plant stays erect keep the bag off, gradually introduce to the sun for 4 or 5 days then put in full sun. Congrats, you have cloned.
If the plant collapses put the bag back and try again the next day.
Probably as many different ways to clone as there are growers, but this method gives me a 3 out of 4 success rate. Good luck.
