ps if you wanna sprout a seed keep them weet in the dark no light they dont sprout in the light
vegetive state is when they pop up then give them all the light they want good luck

I disagree with Kush. So you have 8 sprouts out of 10-15? Thats not a bad ratio.
What type of soil are you using?
Soon you will definitly need more light. Preferably 6500Kelvin temperature for vegitative stage. The lights can be on either an 18/6 cycle, meaning 18 hours on , 6 off. Or, they can be on 24/0, meaning the lights are on all the time. Some people even go inbetween these times, just make sure its atleast 18 during thier vegitative state, and you dont change it all the time. Timers are a good idea to make sure your accurate.
After atleast 6 weeks youll start to think about changing it to its flowering stage which is 12/12 light cycle. This takes either 2700Kelvin temperature fluros, or alot of people choose to use HID (high intensity) like an HPS bulb. This is just one way of many of doing things, be sure to do some research and find out what works best for you.

Do not use foil, as its not good for temperature/hot spots. Flat white paint, Mylar or an Emergency Blanket work well.

This is just some basic information, read the link in my signature for more, good luck.

Hey Anony, Is that so. I have always been under the impression that it was Wavelength and not Kelvin.

Max.

well ,the wavelength distribution in flouros is basically defined by the temperature. 6500K gives the best spectrum distribution for vegging.

Yea, might be different in the UK, but mostly people talk about kelvin here in the states because thats what it gives you on the package. Packages never say anything about wavelength here, atleast on fluros.

Thanks for the info J3SUS.
