Cloning Questions

I just want to make sure I got this whole cloning thing understood, so tell me if I'm wrong.

I'm not here asking about the physical act of cloning because it's everywhere with easy steps. But I'm trying to figure out if I have the big picture because people seem to get stuck on the smaller details and only explain the act of cloning.

So, you have the mother plant. She's a big plant and you keep her in a perpetual state of vegging. You do this once you know she's female though, after reverting her back to the veg state, you take clippings and do the cloning techniques. So then after the clones are made, you use those to grow up to normal sized plants, and use those to flower? And once their is room in the veg cabinent, you use more clones and do that sort of thing?

I'm pretty sure that's right, but you just don't hear too much bout the mother plant afterwards. So she's just sitting in the background chillin' and growin only to make you clones and the clones are what you actually end up smoking?

Then if this is correct, how do you keep the mother from getting to big without tying her down? I don't have much room, But I might try something like this, only issue is that I'll only be using 2-4 clones (most likely 3) in my flower cab, so the mother is going to get huge I feel and my big cabinent is used as my veg and then flowering... I'd only be able to keep my mother in a small container...

My cabinent I have is 5 ft 6" high, 1 ft 10" wide and 3 feet long

well you got the whole cloning thing understood, except i would suggest not to reveg the plant but rather sex it whilst it is still vegetative.
mother plants do get rather large, but dont forget that you can veg em indoors and put outside to bud.
