Mylar for walls won't work. You already recognize you will have temp issues, and you will, so you need solid walls, insulation all the way around, and good ventilation with the ability to warm it in the winter and cool it in the summer.
How about if I put extra insulation in between the studs, that'd atleast keep it at the temperature I want? Staple it in.

Not trying to be a a dick but, you should just do it right.
theres an expression that says "If you dont have time to do it right the first time, when you will you have time to fix it later?"

As far as venting goes, if you have central air, you could tap into that for cooling, and venting sould be easy. Just vent it outside!
Most attics have venting holes somewhere in the roof, see if you have one somewhere that would work.
How many plants you thinking?

ohh like 5-8 plants, i just floored it today =DIf winter temps are gonna be an issue, insulation is importaint! Also, a nice HID unit would probly act as a nice little heater in there for winter. T5s would work, but to cover a 5 by 5 area, one 600, or two 400 watt units would be lovly.
