I am currently using soil, and are in 5gallon buckets. My question is, is there a measuring method as to how many ML water per gallon? or do i just water until the soil looks damp enough? or should i wait till i see it draining? I just went from a Quart to 5 gallon transplant and just want to make sure my babies are getting enough water. Thanks in advance.

Always water to 30 percent runoff....this will avoid salt buildup. weigh your pots before and after watering....picking up the pots and feeling how heavy they are is the best way to determine when to water. You want the soil to dry out between waterings. You can also stick a finger a few inches down (gently)....if it feels dry and the pot is light, then water.

What about when ur plant grows and weighs more??? The picking up the container thing seems iffy to me. Cheers!

The weight of the plant is negligible compared to a pot of fully saturated soil up until the last few weeks of budding.
