Y'all I found FFOF today and I plated my seeds, I didn't want to fuck up wit the germ part so I just pop them into soil, I have 5 100w cfl and I painted my grow box flat white. I have 3 Auto1 autoflowering seeds and I hope I have a good out come for my first grow. U guys check my grow box out and give me some advice.
You planted your seeds directly into fox farm ocean Forrest soil? Cause seedlings will die in ffof soil. It has nutrients in it and seedlings don't need nutrients for the first couple of weeks or so.

I planted 4 seeds into FFOF without flushing it and all sprouted and grew fine for about 2 weeks then got nutes burn. Flushed em and they're fine now. They can live easily.

Yes I put them directly into the soil, I hope they don't die I want feed them anything but water for at least 3 weeks. I have grow big and tiger bloom nutrients so that's good stuff. And yea the lights are 100w. Wit 1750 Lumens a bulb and its 2700k I have automatically flowering strains so the veg state is super short so the all 2700k set up should be cool. Did I mess up by putting them in the soil with out germ??
1750 lumens is a 26 watt 100 watt equivalent

You should always germinate outside of soil first, but that's just my opinion.
Being FFOF doesn't have enough shells and dolomite lime to keep pH steady over time in some cases one should always add 1 Tablespoon of Dolomite Lime(powdered) per gallon of soil.
PERLITE. It is your friend. FFOF contains trace amounts but not nearly enough. This is another opinion but it's a heavily favored opinion. One should use about 20-40% perlite with FFOF. It helps with air circulation and distribution of the nutes in the FFOF soil, especially in the case of strains that are sensitive to over-nuting. The more perlite the more often you will have to water.
Let us know what strains you are growing and which ones begin to yellow up if any, due to them not being able to handle the strength of FFOF.

Actually you can't really flush FFOF to help with over-nuting, as any amount of watering will help release more nutes from the soil for the roots to fed on. Some strains just can't handle it but most can.

So if I see nutrition burn I should just flush it????
No. Watering of any kind whether a sprinkle or a flush just releases more nutes.
Do the dry/wet routine by allowing the soil to dry up almost completely, then water until it runs out the bottom. Anywhere from 10-25% run-off is good. Runoff being the water that exits the bottom of pot when or after watering.
You can then also check this runoff with a pH meter to get soil pH instead of buying an expensive pH soil meter or using the ones where you have to dig out dirt and mix it with water and add powder. The pH reading of runoff you need to minus .1 if you have a accurate meter like this one.
Amazon.com: Oakton Waterproof EcoTestr pH1: Patio, Lawn & Garden
So if the runoff reads 6.6 it's really 6.5.
All this is assuming you check pH and have a reader. Many say you don't need to pH in full or partial organic grows but that's nonsense. You should keep your FFOF soil pHed between 6.3-6.8. It's best to start higher in veg and gradually get down to 6.5 or lower in flower.
