Well I started my seeds on 12/12 and have sexed them at about 4 weeks. Now there on 18/6 to veg. How long should I wait to change the cycle again in order to flower without much stress. This is the way I interpreted dierwolfs reply except I started mine under flouros on 12/12.

Yeah see 6 of one half a dozen or the other. The plant won't flower/sex much before a month old so 12/12 from the go just robs it from 6 hours of critical light per day. I think the plants that Dier wants big yields off of are flowered after a good veg period. Switch back to 18/6 now for more veg.

I have reverted to 18/6 about 2 weeks ago and am experiencing slow growth from that point. The ph runoff seems ok @ about 6.5. I'm guessing that the cycle switch has stressed them pretty bad. Leaves seem 90% green w/ few that experienced fert burn even with 1/2 strength nutes. These are all a durban poison/master kush, cross.

Well I ended up transplanting my plants twice. Once because I over ferted even with 1/2 strength mg ferts and second because I mistakenly bought mg organic garden soil instead of the organic potting soil. Once the plants were in the potting soil they still showed signs of toxicity and just werent growing so I flushed the hell out of them. Now there doing fine and started showing some good growth ever since I put them back on 12/12 with the switch to my hps. I had a hunch they really wanted to flower with all the hairs still showing-up. Probably the flush and all that did it. piece

A question came to mind. Being that I started from 12/12 then switched to veg and back to 12/12 would this shortin-up the flowering time noticeably.

sorry m8 u cant flower extra long the plant dies at the end of the season no matter wat u put a female plant in darkness for over 32 hours and this will stress the plant to make male flowers as far as i know anyway

Actually fully females if left to over ripen, will start to get male sacks at the end of life, turning itself into a hermie.

I think both points are right -- the MJ plant pretty much has a built-in flowering cycle. And still, the plant can be left to flower extra long, it will just pass beyond optimal harvest time. Late into flowering a female can turn hermie or even can produce a seed or two without any pollination or male sacs, a survival adaptation.

But not true that letting a plant flower extra-long to the point of hermie is the way to produce feminized seeds. People continue to believe that any hermie will result in female pollen. Wrong. Feminized pollen is the result of stressing specific budsites (not the whole plant) in very particular ways, usually including the use of a hormone called gibberellic acid. Most run-of-the-mill hermies will produce male and female pollen or else just very screwed up pollen, resulting in seeds that will grow into plants that you don't want.

Right toasty, to get feminized seeds, the pollen from that over ripened plant, that has a few male sacks, can be used to fertilize a separate, fully female plant. Those seeds will then be feminized. I do not think the over ripened hermie will pollinate itself resulting in feminized seeds; they will be regular seeds.

You can make cannabutter or hash from male plants. It is a long process which I don't bother with but, it can be used.

Hum.. not so sure about this plant

Hey guys!
Well, I'm an absolute beginner on growing Mj. But at this point, I know what a female plant looks like, as also a male plant. But some days ago, I discussed a problem with a friend, about plants sex. He told me that sometimes, it's possible to have a hermaphrodite plant, which of course, contains both male and female sex. And it happens that I think I got an hermaphrodite.. damn!!!
There're a few pictures of what I'm talking about, and please.. send me some feed back on this!
Oh! One more thing. Here you say there's no problem on pollinating plants, when there's no wind to do the job. My plants are inside the house, so, chould I "kill" my freaky plant, or let her live a joyful life?

Sorry for my rusty English. I'm Portuguese
