Try it, it may work. The question is why did it hermie? Was it from light leaks [easily fixed] or bad genetics [not fixed].

You name it...I made life tuff on that freakin plant. No wonder its confused But seriously, it may have received cold water, wildly fluctuating ph, and I pruned the shit out of it in order to open it up to light. Not only did I do that but I also tied it down kinda like a spider lst. Sounded cool at the time. Now it doesnt. But ya I have good access to it to mess with it and I think thats the problem. So today I very carefully took every pod off of her/him. I also brought out the exacto knife and had a little science experiment with the balls I disected some of the larger ones(in another room)just to see how developed they were. I was looking for grains of pollen of course. All I seen was green liquid, there was a little formation of round looking deals in there but basically it was just fluid. So if I understand correctly this whole situation is not lost with "Herman" (Munster of course)Is it possible that whatever situation kicked it into freak status has corrected itself(me)

Nice. I was wondering about this, I didnt really understand the difference in sexes in MJ plants from previous guides on the web. Glad thats been cleared up. But do we really have to wait 6-8 weeks to find out the sex? That seems like such a long wait just to find out a few could be male.. Peace.

NONE. Males only give pollen not bud. Don't smoke the leaves either they will give you a headache and not get you high.

This morning I noticed 2 little white hairs sticking straight out at a node. On the next node up they are crossed forming an x. Would these be the pistols you are talking about?

They formed just beside where a new stem is starting to come out to make a new top.

What is strange is the fact that this plant is only 11 days old. I'm not sure if this is a preflower or something to do with new growth beginning to form just above a leaf stem.

I have this picture taken earlier. It isn't very good. I don't have a macro lens. The red line points to the white hairs.

Sometimes new growth can be mistaken for white hairs. White hairs(callyxs(Someone please help me with the spelling...)) are obvious when you see them. And generally it takes 10-14 days of 12/12 light for a mature plant to show sex. So unless you have a rooted clone that may have been kicked into flowering it is unlikely what you are seeing is anything but new growth. Hope that helps

thanks. I was kinda wondering. It sure seemed like way too early but I also felt it was way early to see the secondary growth above the first couple of sets of fingered leaves.

I agree with your answer, except that the white hairs are the pistils. The calyx (pistillate primordia) is the pod-shaped protrusion that forms at the junction of the stem and branch sites from which the white hairs grow out.

The other possibility for early flowering is an auto-flowering strain such as lowryder.

It is also possible that this person is looking at stipules not pistils -- stipules usually are green, look something like hairs, and are just part of new growth.
