Nothing wrong with bagseed. If you enjoyed the smoke bagseed will grow you some more of the same.

eh id rather get something better than shwag but im just starting to grow so i figure dont waste money on good seeds...i noticed lil brown bugs in my soil that i have seeds that im sprouting its not in my big one with my plant yet and i dont kno what they are..its in my basement have house plants upstairs and they r fine..they are brown they have like anthers or "feelers" whatever you like to call them in front of their head not sure what to do they might not do anything..

Do they look like the picture? If so you have what is called Symphilids. According to my girl stitch, here is how you get rid of them:

Symphilids
Small pests that are tan to white colored and look like centipedes. They are very deadly to the plants, because they burrow down into the roots and damage them by feeding of them. Your plants leaves will begin to die off. They are found mostly in soil composites that have not been cleaned, like soil that has additives in them such as animal manure.
(I know it will smell funny but sterilizing the soil in the oven for 30 min can kill any pests in the soil, heat to 350 for 30 min.) They are easy to tell if you have them, because they come to the top soil when your plant is being watered, if you find you do have them, use Fungus Gnat Killer (“B.T." a non chemical, biological control) in the powdered form. One application should kill it, just to be safe repeat every 7 days to kill off the larvae. Tobacco juice kills them as well! And nematodes.

well a friend of my moms told us to use a natural bug killer that wont harm the plant and kills the pests..............we used it on our outdoor plants in our garden and the plants did amazing and no bugs or pests..

ok I have a question.........can anyone give me tips about growing from seeds? Do you just plant the seeds or do you have to soak them first to germinate?

Hey girlygirl,

Yeah definitely read the forum stickies. There are some great threads out there on germination. But you do want to put the seeds in some damp paper towel, put the damp towel in a zip lock baggie [not sealed], put baggie over a warm surface such as a computer and check them 2 times a day. One that little tap root has poked through the seed plant them immediately.

acually i did both i germinated mine on a plate with a wet paper towel and left them in a warm place for about a week..............then i took 3 seeds and planted them in regular soil.....well i used a mix of mirical grow potting mix and potting soil and i got one 2 to come up from there.

the 2nd method takes longer then the first one

Hi SpanishFly ...i would like to add some more info ..if you dont mind ...that will boost your experience up even more & everyone else that doesnt already know these things

first of all the sex of a cannabis plants is determined on the point of fertilization , by XY chromosones inherited by the male

then upon early examination of premordia flowers...that dreaded cats claw ...is a male ...magnify glass is recommended ....buttttt if growing conditions have been perfect for that variety ....& the male is male from genetics & not an environmental sex alteration

the male stretches just prior to showing flowers & always has further nodes then the female .....& i better add something else important here .....a sativa pheno is always determined by its leaf & flower (bud) style

for the unexperienced that may confuse the signs for a sativa pheno

also a female will always have thicker , stronger & most of the time longer branches at a faster growth rate than the male ...they got to support all the weight of the buds !

the female usually shows her premordia pistils from the 3rd calyx that developes ....so from the first sign of calyx development....which sometimes is extra leaf growth (shoot actually) ...dont start freaking ..."what sex is it" ! ....be patient

sooo if all these things have been examined...then you can start pulling ..start breeding seeds or smoke /make hash from male leaves

I am a first time marijuana grower. I was just wondering...I have two plants currently under a natural grow light, and leave light on about 10 hours a day. I have the area temperatured at about 71 degrees, and water the plants once daily. I wondered if there is any secret to letting the plants become female.

What is a natural grow light? Also, 10 hours a day of light is not enough. If they are in veg, they need more like 18 hours of light, in flower, 12 hours of light. No real secrets to getting females; it is mostly genetic. However, the less stress the plants are exposed to the better and females may be more likely but, who knows.
