So, if I seed seeds from a hermie the plant will be worse? Cuz the seeds I have are from weed I smoke and I guess if I got a bud with a seeds in it, it must be a hermie, and this will be the thing I am going to seed (I dont have normal seeds). So whats the big problems with hermies?

that is not necessarily true. While it could have been a hermie that your bud cam from, some careless grower could have just had a male plant in with their females. But usually seeds from bud would come from a hermie. This is not bad, because that is feminization, where, either the seeds will be female, or hermie.. you will not have an all male plant in there. So you actually have a good chance that your plants from these seeds will be female. If you grow them, just keep an eye on them and try to spot the hermie in it, and take control before the pollen sac can open and pollinate your bud. you should generally only use these plants for 1 generation, because of inbreeding problems after that, but when your plants get bigger, you can just clone your females, and be set

There are good threads on spotting hermies, and taking care of them, as well as cloning, if you are not sure on a good way to do that. And everyone here is more than welcome to answer pretty much all of your questions.

I hope this helped and happy growing.. make sure you make a grow journal, and when you need help someone will pop in there and answer your questions!

I just had the weirdest hermie ever in my grow..
I'm growing for seeds with 2 males and 3 females.
Both of the males have multiple flowering branches and one and only one of those branches went hermie on me.
The rest of the plants look fine, so do the females.

I cut of the hermie branch immediately and now regret that I didn't take a picture first because it was soooo obviously hermie and the rest of the same damn male plant looked A-OK.

Am I totally screwed now? Pollen have flown all over the place.
Will I get hermie seeds from this?
Or will only my future males be potentially hermie?
I'm kinda confused because of this feminizing thing.
Anyone?

Allright T3h Corps3, if I understand you correct :

a. my male with one hermie branch wasn't 100% male to begin with.
b. all my future seeds that are pollinate with the hermie-branch-pollen will only lead to females and other hermies.
c. hiermie-ism's rootcause is in the genetics. the gene(s) that cause it are non-sexual, meaning it exists on both females and males.

Did I get that right?

Hey guys here is the thing, it depends why it went hermie. If it was one branch only it leads me to believe it was situational/environmental. However, urg8est I know you run a tight ship in your rooms so it is probably genetics. If it is indeed genetics, I would think that hermie gene is in there and the propensity for the seeds to be hermie.

And once again to get a feminized seed the hermie plant must be 1] a genetically female plant, 2] no hermie genetics, 3] a few rare male flowers caused by environmental/situational stress and 4] pollen from that hermie must pollinate a DIFFERENT, genetically female plant. If any of those stteps are disturbed the seeds will be garbage because of potential hermaphrodites.
