It seems like you aren't alone with having the leaves yellow from the bottom up, it Might be that they are root-bound, or perhaps over watered.

EarthJuice has a special "grow" formula for the veg stage, from what I understand you can't overfeed them using that. I've only been using it about a week, I have noticed an improvement, but I was in desparate need of the lift (spidermites, ugh!)
