That is true, you do destroy the resin in this process. However, I personally would rather smoke no weed than bad weed, except of course in times of dire need to numb the anxiety, in which I will go to the "bags of scraps", but usually this is shake from bags of the super chronic that I didn't finish. My sacks always have scraps which were at the time undesirable because I just received a new bag of awesome nugs. I set these bags aside for when these dire needs (or wants) arise. And since I do poke the bowl many times between overhauling, (poking will always be necessary) I have a tray full of chronic resin that i keep for friends who like it and are in dire need. Most people, when they are out of weed, means they are REALLY out of weed. There will be no traces of weed left whatsoever on the property. My style there is always a surplus of smokable material, but usually wait for the chronic. The other benefit, is you do not have to scrub a now resinated metal pot. Anyone who has boiled a bowl knows that cleaning the metal pot afterwards is a pain in the ass. With this method you are using just plastic ziploc baggies which you throw away afterwards. Fully disposable cleansing. That is key if you hate doing dishes, because as we all know taking this extra step wastes valuable weed smoking time. And we definitely don't want that. Thanks.
