Yeah, I think that was a good move. But he is kinda old, so how much more can the guy take, ya know? Aikman was still a solid QB before he left. But his offensive line fell apart and he wasn't getting any protection, which resulted in too many concussions, and him having to retire.
Edit: My poit is simply this. If they can't get a GOOD offensive line, then it doesn't really matter who they have as far as running backs, tight ends, or receivers is concerned... They need to protect the QB, and be able to block/create holes for the runners, or they're gonna sit in the funk for a loooooong time...
