It'll get easier.
I'm Palestinian, and my wife is black, and her parents couldn't stand me (because of my religion, and the color of my skin) for the first 3 years that we dated. They wouldn't even talk to me. Her father wouldn't even give me his blessing to marry his daughter after 6 years of dating, until I put my foot down, told them I didn't appreciate the racism, and that I had been nothing but a good man to their daughter...and that they were denying her wishes to be with the man she loves for the rest of her life because they're so myopic.
I guess showing them I had balls changed their minds. They still don't agree that she married outside of her religion, but they're certainly a lot warmer toward me than they used to be.
