great article. it's interesting because i used to live in the bay area, and went to foothill college, which is the sister school to de anza. and i myself suffer not just from chronic pain but also bipolar illness as well as attention deficit disorder, and using marijuana has helped stabilize my mood swings and allowed me to live without being on anti-depressants, mood-stabilizers, sedatives, anti-psychotics and strattera, all of which left me emotionally numb and ambivalent about everything.
i find it unfortunate that so many haven't bothered to research this drug and how it's changed so many lives, before condemning it. but at the same time, we seem to be in a fulcrum where things seem to be happening as we speak, and i'm sure we'll see some reform in the next 5 years.
