That's bug damage. Doesn't appear to be too severe, but you might want to look close and see if they are on the plant and just hiding during the day. A pyrithrin-based spray might be a good idea to spray on the plant, on the ground, and around the area. I've had the same bugs, they are little tiny yellow worm type things that scoot around really slow. They can also tell if you are looking at them somehow because they hide when you come close.

They should be fine though, I've seen MUCH worse!
