One of the California Stone Soup members runs a Harm Reduction program for homeless people in San Francisco. They help them get a med card then give MMJ to those in the program. This helps them to move from alcohol to cannabis. Cannabis is not addicting. It seems cannabis is a gateway from dangerous and addictive substances to safer and healthier alternatives. This works better than just a cold turkey detox and has lasting benifits. I want to see her work published as it turns addiction treatment on it's head. BTW I once ran a detox program some years ago. This is better.
