Are you flushing during the vegging or flowering cycle? If this is for the final week of bloom, you should not be adding any nutrients, unless it's at an extremely low level.

If it's in between weeks of a cycle, it's better to flush the plants out and then add new nutrient solution. The reason for this, is the nutrients you flushed out of the medium are now in the nutrient solution you are feeding them. This throws off the NPK value of the nutrient solution, which might cause a problem.

The best way to flush a plant in between feedings is to water the plant from the top of the container, with a gallon or two of fresh water (preferable R/O or distilled water).

Then make up a new reservoir and feed as usual.
