Superjoint, our Webmaster owns the site. We do pretty much no work in the Shop. We know each other pretty well, but I have yet to meet a single Mod in real life (Hell, I've only met two or three members in the city I live in alone, let alone Mods from other states.  )
And we were mostly selected after having an extensive tenure as members. There really is no job application process. You prove yourself on the open forums, and if there are spots open then several members are asked if they are interested in becoming Mods. If so, Mod Boot Camp begins. If not, then they continue on as Members.
Oh, and the Dental Plan here sucks... but we have plenty of Medical to go around.   |
