Cheap ass ghetto setup... works.

I started up some bag seeds (didnt want to waste the good ones). Since i have since gotten rid of my nice hydro set up, I wanted to try to make a cheap setup to show my friend how easy it was. I am using a rubbermaid tote, 20 gallon i think. i have aluminum foil on the inside all except for the lid. it has some plastic wrap on the upper side right under the lid. I am using a 40 watt "Receal Bulb", which is housed in a reptile light that my snake jsut doesnt need anymore. Energy isnt a concern. (doesnt use crap) also i threw a computer fan on the side and cut a hole for that. the temp stays right around 79 degrees (farhenhiet) durring light hours and around 70-72 durring night hours. it feels comfortable in there. I am using miracle grow soil. it is 30-10-10. I know not good btu hey it is worth a try. here they are 1 week old now and i have 3 that are 3" so far so good.

out of the 8 that were in there only 4 are still growing.

I also set up a 10 gal fish tank outside with a soil medium, and put aluminum foil on the backside to get more light in durring natural light hours. they started to grow too tall. and toppled over. so i put a couple of toothpicks on some of them to help support them. now there are 3 out of the 6 that are still growing the other 3 have curled up and died. I was wondering anyone have any suggestions to improve on this cheapo method that i am using. I wil be glad to set up my camera so you can see exactly what is going on.

No fert is being used thankfully. I am using a mister which i purchased form walmart. and i mist the inside ones once a day. the humidity is staying right around 50%. now should i make the temp. higher? anyone have any clues as to what i can do to try to make this a "good" or "decent" setup?
