Smoke is not an allergen - it has no proteins in it whatsoever, which is what you are allergic to. Smoke is an "irritant", which has it's own issues, but allergies aren't one of them. The #1 Myth About Smoke Allergies | I suppose that you might be allergice to the plant itself, but I would think that would involve touching the plant and getting a skin reaction. I'm not a doctor though.
