If you cant put the top of the sight indicator above the full mark (3.5 gallons), then dont put one in at all. Not all buckets are the same. Shop around. That bucket looks like it might not be suited to your cause. Paint stores have good heavy duty buckets, They may have them in black as well. Any place that only sells paint is what to look for.
