Not that I know what I'm doing (this is all new to me) but I tried an experiment. You mentioned maybe putting your plants in the windowsill. I did that with a couple of plants and be careful because they STRETCH like mad! I'm talking one plant was 8 inches long with only 1 set of leaves! I had to repot it and get it closer to the soil. Just to let you know what happened to mine. I live in Georgia.
